TITLE: Power7 System Administrator

 

Client/Domain: Healthcare Retail

 

Project Duration:  6+ months

 

Interview Process: Virtual

 

Visa: No H1

 

Location: Ideally 3 days in Hartford, but can be Remote

 

Active LinkedIn with 2 references

 

 

Must haves:

• 7+ years’ experience with systems administration and data base administration (DBA)
• “been there done that” with a P7 to P9 migration
• Ability to resolve production issues in complex environment for P7
• P7 efficiency / stabilization
• Production downtime almost every day, ability to make quick recommendations
• AS400 / DB2 / Power 7 or P7 expert
• Analysis/recommendations
• Current plan needs to be revamped and they need recommendations on how to make the migration a seamless process

 

Soft skills:

• Excellent/clear communication – someone who can speak their mind, stand their ground with clear communication
• A handful of folks have been on the team for quite some time, may have some push back on why they need to do something one way with the change
• Self-starter
• “roll up your sleeves and get in there” mentality – propose how to make current piece run more efficiently
