Job Summary:

The Project Systems / Project Revenue Consultant will be responsible for providing expertise in S/4 HANA Project Systems with a focus on Sales and Distribution integration. This role requires a strong finance background, a thorough understanding of revenue recognition processes, and experience in the utilities sector. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of project systems

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and define project requirements and translate them into effective project systems solutions.

- Manage and optimize the integration of S/4 HANA Project Systems with Sales and Distribution to enhance operational efficiency.

- Utilize financial expertise to ensure proper accounting practices are adhered to within Project Systems, particularly in relation to Sales and Distribution integration.

- Lead design integration between Project accounting and revenue recognition processes, including Results Analysis (RA), Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), and Event-Based Revenue Recognition (EBRR) using Resource Related Billing (RRB) or Milestone Billing.

- Provide insights into utilities business processes, focusing on both Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Capital work to ensure alignment with project objectives.

- Conduct training and support for end-users to ensure they understand system functionalities and processes.

- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements and improvements to the project systems.

 

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in Project Systems with a strong integration background in Sales and Distribution.

- In-depth understanding of accounting principles as they relate to Project Systems and Sales and Distribution.

- Demonstrated experience with revenue recognition methodologies (RA, RAR, EBRR) and billing processes (RRB, Milestone Billing).

- Familiarity with utilities industry business processes, specifically O&M and Capital work.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

- Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
