Visa: USC/GC or that can do FTE employee after contract
Location: Madison, WI- 100% Remote [in Wisconsin]. The candidate must be a current Wisconsin resident or relocate to Wisconsin at their cost at the start of the engagement (remaining in Wisconsin for the duration of the contract).

DETAILS

The State of Wisconsin is looking for a Technical Architect III with expertise in container development and administration, specifically with Docker Containers running Java, NodeJS, and .NET applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop Dockerfiles for containers that run Java, Node, and .NET applications.
• Create deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps that build and deploy containers to Linux hosts.
• Maintain a repository of templated container images in Nexus Repository Manager.

Required Skills: (Need Majority; 5+ Years)

• Minimum 4+ years of Docker container experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of Linux Administration experience (Oracle Linux/RHEL).
• Understanding Docker container runtime, Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, container networking, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot underlying OS issues on Linux hosts.
• CI/CD pipeline experience in Azure DevOps.
• Minimum 2+ years of Python scripting.
• Basic troubleshooting of NGINX/Java/Postfix/.NET.
• Agile team experience.
• Familiarity with Linux/NGINX/Apache and SSL certificate maintenance.
• Experience creating architecture diagrams in Visio.
• Git for version control.

Nice to Have Skills (Need X or more of the following):

• Bash and PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience using REST APIs.
• Ansible Playbook experience.
• Orchestration experience.
• Additional Linux administration skills.
