Job Description – LCRA’s Document Management Systems Administration team is looking for an experienced SharePoint Application administrator to join our team. LCRA Digital Services has a hybrid SharePoint 2019 – SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) environment, along with a suite of associated software, such as Nintex, Formstack, and the Power Platform.
We are seeking an experienced senior administrator to assist with management and support of the environment, in addition to mentoring staff in not only SharePoint administration, but also adoption of other software technologies. Experience with Power Platform is a plus. Experience with Power Scripting is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and upgrade SharePoint environments including Windows features, IIS, SharePoint farms, service applications, office web app, and workflow
Perform SharePoint development including custom webparts, SPFX, and some Power Apps
Manage and configure SharePoint infrastructure and security policies and procedures
Organize and implement patch management processes to ensure that SharePoint environments are up to date with the latest updates and security patches, without disrupting the business processes
Perform capacity planning to ensure that the SharePoint infrastructure meets current and future requirements
Work collaboratively with other IT professionals, including system administrators, network administrators, and developers. Assist junior administrators with learning and development, as well as troubleshooting and technical guidance
A percentage of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate) Development and Support.
As part of customer service and stakeholder management, conduct needs negotiation and requirements gathering
Independently work to schedule and plan workload within a larger team, managing tasks and timelines to meet larger deadlines, while coordinating within a dynamic project
Stay current with emerging SharePoint- and Microsoft Power-related trends and features
Assist with learning and onboarding new technologies with the team
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
In-depth knowledge and experience with SharePoint technologies, including SharePoint Server 2013/2016/2019, SharePoint Online, and SharePoint migration tools such as ShareGate, Metalogix, etc.
Proficiency in managing and configuring SharePoint infrastructure, including windows servers, SharePoint farm, databases, and network components (load balancer, firewall, etc.).
Understanding of SharePoint security principles and experience in implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures. In-depth knowledge and experience with network firewall, certificate, and M365 security features
Experience and skill in the SharePoint development framework and in the Power Platform
Ability to design and implement effective backup and recovery strategies for SharePoint environments. Ability to design, implement, maintain, and monitor high-availability SharePoint system for business-critical services.
Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues related to SharePoint performance, configurations, and integrations.
Proficiency in PowerShell for SharePoint on-premises and SharePoint Online. Expert in automating tasks and managing SharePoint environments using PowerShell and PnP PowerShell module.
Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent technical work experience.
Nine or more years of experience in SharePoint administration role
Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately
Ability to articulate requirements to both technical and business audiences
Knowledge in SharePoint development, PowerApps, Power Automate, Nintex forms and workflow are a plus
Work Environment:
LCRA is a hybrid work environment, with two days in the office and three days working remotely.
Physical Demands
Work involves constant finger/hand manipulation in using a keyboard and mouse
