Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our team.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable platform solutions that support our company's infrastructure and services.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our platform while driving innovation and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform solutions that meet the company's infrastructure requirements.
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and design appropriate platform solutions.
• Implement automation tools and processes to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of platform services.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of platform services through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency, scalability, and security of the platform.
• Define and enforce best practices and standards for platform development, deployment, and operations.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in platform design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to integrate new features, services, and technologies into the platform.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce security policies and controls across the platform.
• Work with compliance teams to ensure platform solutions meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure design, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing platform solutions using cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar are a plus.

• Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility
• Participate in data conversion and data maintenance
• Provide best practice and industry specific solutions
• Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions
• Provide thought leadership as well as hands on technical configuration/development as needed.
• Participate as a team member of the functional team
• Perform other duties as assigned.
