Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB Developer

Location: Tustin, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or related technical field or equivalent years of experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a software-related field required.
  • 3-5 years of ServiceNow administration experience required.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript.
  • ServiceNow Implementation experience preferred.
  • Configuration Management Database (CMDB) experience preferred.
  • Certified ServiceNow Administrator or Certified ServiceNow Developer.
  • Working experience in Service Asset & CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping (optional).
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery module end to end (Error handling and experience with patterns preferred).
  • Solid experience in administering and configuring the ServiceNow CMDB, including CI classes, attributes, relationships, and workflows.
  • Experience in creating, updating, and maintaining CMDBs, and other asset/configuration management repositories in a complex IT environment.
  • Design and implementation of solutions for maintaining CI data integrity across the CI lifecycle with due consideration to the ITSM process like Incident, Problem, and Build solutions around data certifications (if required) for maintaining CI sanity.
  • Experience in identifying and tracking CIs, implementing change control, and accounting for discovered/manual CIs in a complex IT system.
  • Managing CMDB health to support Assets and Configuration and CI relationships, as coming from discovered sources. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, maintains, and corrects moderately complex application software and system problems using established credit union standards and specifications, with little supervision or guidance.
  • Codes new application programs to meet desired user functionality using ServiceNow.
  • Revises application software using tables, profiles, and other vendor-supplied customization tools to reflect approved changes specified by users.
  • Follows general and credit union-specific coding and development standards, SDLC standards, and SchoolsFirst FCU's Agile methodology standards.
  • Builds technical and functional documentation for new programs or changes to existing programs as required.
  • Test and debug new and existing application software, developed by other programmers, to assure accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and become proficient in multiple technologies and best practice development standards. Remains knowledgeable of new and emerging technology by researching technical materials, attending seminars and training classes, and consulting with personnel from other industries.
  • Provides ongoing system support as required.
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment-related actions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
