Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Back End Developer specializing in
The deployment, support and monitoring of AI/Client solutions. As a Back-End Developer, you will collaborate with data scientists and Client engineers to productionalize AI/Client models as part of larger AI solutions. This role will require proficiency with java development and familiarity with Java development. Data competency is a must for this position in-terms of being able to work with data in-motion (kafka, data APIs) as well as data at rest (MySQL and Snowflake data stores)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and Client engineers to deploy Client models into scalable rest endpoints and incorporate those models into user-facing AI solutions.
- Work with data scientists and Client engineers to design and implement feedback loops to allow the AI solutions to learn and improve over time.
- Create data stores to feed needed inputs to AI/Client models and store feedback from users.
- Some data engineering tasks to populate a real-time feature store and ensure it syncs with source systems
- Monitor application performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement performance improvements as needed.
- Implement robust error-handling mechanisms and ensure the application's fault tolerance and high availability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Principal level of experience in developing high-performance back-end applications with quick response times in Java and microservices
- Experience working with AI/Client teams
- Hands-on experience with highly-available databases and designing data-stores for low-latency data retrieval.
- Proficiency with Java, familiarity with python. Bonus points for experience deploying applications requiring GPU resources.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience designing robust systems and monitoring strategies to ensure high-levels of quality and availability
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
