Requirements
- Support large-scale migration of VDIs from AWS WorkSpaces to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Architect and Configure Azure platform for foundational deployment of the AVD VDI fleet.
- Configure Host Pool, Application Groups, Virtual Machines, and Images on Azure for AVD
- Configure and setup Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) with Microsoft 365
- Develop tools and scripts to assist with routine and complex maintenance tasks within the Endpoint/Desktop Engineering space.
- Build hardened images and configure patch management.
- Utilize User profile management product, Roaming Profile, Fslogix and OneDrive part of OS / VDI configuration.
- Use tools like Nerdio to manage all aspects of Azure VDI/AVD lifecycle – Automated Deployment, Cost Optimization, IT Ops, Security, Customization
Qualifications
- 10+ year of IT experience
- 5+ years in Azure platform architecture experience
- Extensive Experience working with Azure End User Computing and Azure Virtual Desktop Experience technologies.
- Azure Services: Azure VNet, Azure Security, VM, Storage, Identity
- Good SysAdmin and Active Directory Experience
- Experience with Azure AD ( Entra ID), Security
- Experience working with Nerdio
- Bonus: AWS WorkSpaces and AWS Platform Experience
