JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Mandatory Skills: Database Developer with Strong exp in SQL, NO-SQL, MONGO DB, AWS, Coding, Talend/Pentaho

 

Key Responsibilities:

Ability to lead a small team (globally distributed) of 2-4 individuals and help drive sound engineering design, process and quality practices, and perform acceptance engineering

Ability to comprehend business requirements and be able to map them to technical data requirements.

Perform research, analysis, design and implementation and provide effective solutions for short term and long term needs

Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities into the platform.

Contributes as a hands-on software developer.

Design database schemas to meet application and end user requirements.

Design, develop, and test ETL processes per business requirements, following the development standards and best practices as well as participate in code peer reviews to ensure ETL applications and code process comply with industry best practices

 

Qualifications:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with strong fundamentals and problem solving skills.

8+ years of experience in architecture, design, analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of highly scalable database services and components.

At least 2-3 years of experience as Technical Database Lead or Database Architect.

Strong communication skills to articulate technical and database issues.

Experience with Agile software development processes.

 

Technical Skills:

Experience with AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL and other SQL Databases.

Experience with NOSQL Databases (MongoDB)

Experience working with different AWS Services (S3, EC2, DMS, DynamoDB, Lambda, etc)

Experience working in Tools like Talend, Pentaho.

Experience with BigData and Reporting is a plus.

Strong knowledge and experience in data modeling & design with relational and NoSQL DBs

Experience optimizing performance of database server and queries
