6+ month contract

Remote with short visits possible to Austin TX, Melbourne FL and Canada

 

Skillset and experience:

•             Expert knowledge of jira database

•             Senior level jira administrator

•             Able to do a migration from 1 server to another

•             Able to deal with legacy jira that is no longer supported and migrate the data.

•             Move off jira server to data center

•             IT side of jira

•             Data migration

•             Building new servers

•             Backup and restore

•             Update jira

Problem/project: 

•             client has a number of businesses in the us and Canada

•             There is one business that does flight data recorders

•             client decided that the completion of one of the programs that was initially started in Canada is better to be run in Austin TX

•             data needs to be exported from Canada to Austin

•             Transfer of jira and confluence data from Canadian servers to the Austin servers

•             Task is to get all the sites on the same jira and confluence associated plugins

•             To do this there are challenges – itar issues, old version, outdated versions, switching Atlassian tools to a server based model.
