Summary of Position:
Provide support to expand company’s operational capabilities across products and business areas by working to design, develop and maintain proprietary and vendor developed software systems.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Participates in entire lifecycle of software development including requirement definition, architecture and development specifications coding, quality assurance testing, deployment, documentation, and support.
- Works closely with Project Managers and other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Identifies automated solutions to complex system issues.
- Designs the logic that produces application programs in accordance with a specified business need.
- Ability to integrate software with existing systems.
- Delivers quality code while meeting scope and on deadlines.
- Communicates progress, technical issues, and their resolution,
- Maintain existing applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, analyze complex problems and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Stays updated on technology changes or problems.
- Regular and timely attendance.
- Some on-call support as well as afterhours installation/deployment may be expected.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Required Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science – or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- 6+ years of programming experience.
Skills Required:
- Experience in the software development life cycle.
- SQL with business analytics knowledge preferred.
- Experience with relational database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle.
- Experience with Microsoft IIS configuration.
- Experience with NET 4.0 or higher framework.
- Demonstrated Experience with Web technologies.
- Experience with creating and/ or integrating to API’s/web services.
- Ensure a positive working environment by being approachable, answering questions as clearly as possible, and ensuring that answers are understood.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion.
- Experience in C#, .net development environment.
- Experience in XAML preferred.
- Understanding of an agile development environment.
- Experience with Devops and cloud technologies.
