Location: Remote (Initial 2-4 weeks should be onsite - Utah)

Job Description
MUST be willing to be onsite in SLC, Utah for 2-4 weeks for onboarding.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal ML Engineer to lead our team and drive the development and deployment of machine learning models for our e-commerce applications.
· A strong background in statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
· Extensive experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques, particularly for building recommendation systems.
· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R,Excel or Java.
· The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks, as well as extensive experience using AWS tools.
· Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data for use in machine learning models.
· Optimize recommendation algorithms to improve accuracy and relevance of recommendations.
· Work with product managers, engineers, and designers to integrate recommendation systems into the product experience.
· Monitor and evaluate recommendation system performance, and use data-driven insights to continually improve the system Experience on working in AWS cloud environment for building data models and pipelines is preferred
Responsibilities:
· Design and build complex machine learning models and systems using Python and AWS tools like Redshift, DynamoDB, S3, and SageMaker.
· Lead the development and deployment of ML models for use cases such as product recommendations, discount promotions, and customer segmentation.
· Provide technical leadership and guidance to other ML Engineers and data scientists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into our e-commerce applications.
· Evaluate and select the most appropriate machine learning algorithms and frameworks for our use cases, and optimize models for scalability, accuracy, and reliability.
· Define and enforce best practices for machine learning development and deployment, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in machine learning, and apply this knowledge to improve our ML models and systems.
· Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences, and present results and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
· At least 7+ years relevant experience in building recommendation systems based on AI/ML model
· Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and Keras, as well as experience with deep learning techniques. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R,Excel or Java.
· Experience with various AWS tools, and the ability to select and configure appropriate services for specific use cases.
· Experience in developing machine learning models for e-commerce use cases such as product recommendations and discount promotions.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
· Proven track record of technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching of other ML Engineers and data scientists.
· Strong experience with software development best practices, including agile methodologies, version control systems, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
