Location: Alpharetta, GA (Remote)

Description:
Morgan Stanley is looking for a hands-on engineer to join the Firmwide developer tools and systems group, MSDE. MSDE is responsible for shaping the development environment within Morgan Stanley by implementing the tools, systems, and processes used by 20,000+ developers in the Firm for software development and deployment.
The candidate will be working with a global team of experts on driving adoption of next-generation development tooling across the developer community at the Firm.

Prior experience in the financial industry is not required; candidates from software companies are welcome.

Skills Required:
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools. Experience working with multiple SCM systems, code review systems, issue tracking tools, build tools, test frameworks, code quality tools, CI systems, and IDEs
• Experience working with and supporting developers, ideally in a large, distributed organization
• Hands-on scripting experience: python preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to write detailed technical documentation

Skills Desired:
• Administration experience in one or more of: Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Bitbucket, Github, Jira, or Ansible
• Prior experience in supporting migration of DevOps tools – e.g., from Jenkins to Github Actions
• System administration experience on Linux
• Development experience with 1 or more of Java, C#, C++, or Typescript would be an asset
