IT Auditor not a Financial Auditor Location: 10801 6th St STE 120, Rancho Cucamonga, CA - 91730 – (5 Days onsite role, no remote) Job Description: IT auditor/assessor for cybersecurity and IT governance compliance that are familiar with control gap assessment, monitoring of controls, working with internal or external auditors Role and responsibilities: • IT auditor/ assessor for cybersecurity and IT governance compliance • Familiar with control gap assessment and monitoring of controls • Working with internal or external auditors • Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk, and develop remediation strategies • Conduct efficient and effective IT audit procedures • Communicate complex technical issues in simplified terms to the relevant staff • Perform regular audit testing and provide recommendations • Review, evaluate, and test application controls • Provide recommendations and guidance on identified security and control risks • Develop a strong understanding of business and system processes • Assist in performing audit testing procedures, including attribute-based controls, through various means – inspection, observation, and re-performance • Identify and define the root cause of control issues. Review and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls, and compliance with IT security policies and procedures. Provide recommended solutions to identified internal control concerns • In accordance with Department standards, learn to develop accurate and complete work papers that adequately support the work performed • For smaller and discrete projects or task assignments, may project manage assigned resources, generally interns and staff internal auditors as an in-charge auditor
