Client is looking for a Master Software Engineer .NET to build our customer’s next generation Underwriting as a Service platform. The platform will be used to launch insurance products expediently and be engineered to scale up and extend to any insurance line of business. Specializes in .NET - Has experience in the development, maintenance, and testing of software programs. Responsibilities include Coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications. These individuals will work from program specifications or prototypes. Works under the direction of a team leader, senior technical person, or analyst.
The candidate must have excellent coding, problem-solving, and analytical skills backed with good verbal and written communication skills. Experience with the Microsoft Azure and application infrastructure related activities is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have solid experience “working backward” to understand and solve the pain points of the customers.
Qualifications:
· Eight plus years of experience in .NET Framework and C# programming · Eight plus years of experience with application design, implementation, maintenance, diagnosing/correcting issues, managing security vulnerabilities, and maintaining compliance with industry security standards under minimal direction · Eight plus years of development in a large-scale, multi-platform environment is required · Have hands on experience in designing and developing Web Applications & Web Services using Microsoft technology stack and Azure Cloud · Looking for someone with good experience in Azure Services like storage, Virtual networks, or Cosmos DB along with experience in deployment · Experience in Agile Application Development & Scrum methodologies is preferred · Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and address performance needs of tier 1 applications · Research and evaluate new software, frameworks, and techniques to provide recommendations to the division · Mentor less experienced .NET developers while providing training and performing code reviews · Passionate about software development and delivering high quality applications · Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills is a must · Documenting and maintaining application requirements and technical specifications · Must possess a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and initiative · Flexibility to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment · Ability to work independently, yet function as an integral part of a team |
