Job Title: Mainframe Tech Lead

Location: PA

Duration: Long term Contract

 

Job Description:

Based on architectural decision and high-level technical designs, creates a detailed technical design for a Mainframe software solution matching the needs of  Personal Auto business portfolio. Guided by Functional and Non-Functional requirements, standards and best practices and the detailed technical design, software engineers construct and support mainframe applications with measurable usability, accuracy, stability, and high-performing capabilities.

The Software engineers will work on the COBOL code that supports Personal Lines Rating for new projects as well as support.  Engineers will need to understand the PMS critical path implications to changes for rating and collaborate with Ratabase engineers.  Responsible for understanding and collaborating with upstream and downstream systems including Agent POS, Ratabase, integration, Financial reporting, and Claims.

 

Required minimum skills:

COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, Endeavor, Expeditor, IBM MQ 

Property and Casualty policy admin application system and related business knowledge

 

Highly desired:

Personal Lines knowledge for Auto, Home, Boat, PCL

Ratabase tool exposure
