Essential Responsibilities: - Unit tests code, writes automation scripts, performs peer code reviews, merges and maintains code repository
- Collaborates and communicates with a diverse set of departs such as UX, Product, QA, and other developers to bring value to the company and to solve technical problems
- Able to build custom JavaScript/React components/modules that can be reused by other developers
- Develops and maintains web-based components and applications to generate sales and profit from web activity as well as drive traffic to Mattress Firm's brick and mortar locations
- Follows web development best practices, processes, and procedures
- Follows technical and coding standards including security standards and ADA WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance
- Participating in Agile Team ceremonies; daily standup, pointing, planning, review, and retrospectives
- Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts
- Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation
- Communicates any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations
Education - Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience required
- Master's Degree Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
Professional Experience - 4+ Years of experience in frontend development (HTML, SASS, React, Typescript, APIs, Analytics, Unit Testing, CI/CD)
Skills List - Technology: Proficient in HTML, SASS, React, Typescript, APIs, Analytics, Unit Testing, CI/CD)
- Analytical: Strong problem solving, critical thinking and attention to detail
- Leadership: Collaborates with junior associates to achieve results
