The important thing to note is they're looking for someone who has not used Ab Initio, but who has done installs/configurations/upgrades etc as a systems admin with Ab Initio.


Why Open: There are a lot of ETL tools there has not been a ton of consolidation since then. There is a large business unit (EDP or Enterprise Data Platform organization) moving forward with Ab Initio and they are looking to build some new environments on Linux, have some connectors that reach out to the new data lake on GCP, etc. Right now they are using an old AIX version (very outdated), but they have a plan to move forward with some production deliverables to move from on-prem to GCP.
Team/Role: Keith's team has full ownership of the Ab Initio/GCP environment (it was previously the business team). He has SMEs for each product (ex: DataStage, Informatica, etc) and they operate as a team from a problem solving perspective. The Ab Initio skill set is not a skill set they have on the team, so they are looking for someone who can help them install, configure, and administrate Ab Initio so the foundation can set them up for success.

Must haves (hard requirements)
· Background in ETL tools/data/metadata/data lakes
· 3+ years with Ab Initio doing installations, upgrades, configurations, and maintenance
· 2+ years' experience with containers/containerizations tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc)
· Strong knowledge of Linux
· Knowledge of on-prem and cloud (GCP) installations
• 3+ years hands on experience with Ab Initio ETL tool.
2+ years hands on experience as an Ab Initio System Administrator
2+ years hands on experience with web architecture and the appropriate technology stacks such as Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere, or JBOSS
• 2+ years hands on experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Redhat Linux and OpenShift operating systems and networking concepts.
• Strong knowledge with one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Perl, Python, Go, or scripting in Shell or PowerShell and Perl.
• Good understanding of storage, load balancers, virtualization, web, database and messaging services with the ability to dive deep into any of these areas when necessary
• Experience with Continuous Integration using modern DevOps tools and workflows such as Git, GitHub, Jira.
• Experience working on teams with integrated development and operations resources (DevOps)
• Work well with the customer's technical teams and leadership to build relationships and find ways to leverage and maximize technical investment recommendations.
• Knowledge in writing Ansible Playbooks from scratch using YAML functions.
• Understanding all aspects of cloud security product definition including vendor integration, platform integration and monitoring for cloud platforms including but not limited to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
• Work well with team members on stressful and fast-paced projects
