Job description:
Title: Project Manager
Location: 100% on site Stamford, CT
Start: Flexible but ideally within the next few weeks
Duration: 6 month contract to hire
VISA : USC , GC , GC-EAD ( PLEASE FIND LOCAL ONE OR FROM NEAR BY AREA)
 

Important Skills: Top 3 skills:
1. Must be a PM who is comfortable working on their own with minimal supervision and who is comfortable / able to also complete BA tasks as well. This will not be a PM who just sets-up and runs meetings and then follows up with meeting notes; this person has to be comfortable "getting their hands dirty”.
2. Work across teams to establish a timeline and drive teams to execute against that timeline while mitigating issues/risks along the way; needs to be able to resolve conflicts that come up between teams and balance between time/resources/scope
3. Gather and document business requirements and understand / contribute to the solutions that are being implemented (technical and non-technical) to help ensure all business objectives are accomplished
Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining business problems / solutions, escalating issues/risks for senior awareness and to be able to facilitate decision-making.

What the environment / Sell : 2 ^nd largest cable provider in the USA, opportunity to work on large scale enterprise location. Charter is an essential business that has continued to see growth regardless of covid. Charter was just awarded MSO of the year through Multi-Channel news which is a very prestigious award to receive in this space.
Fieldglass Write-up:
Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures. Develops project plan and drives project milestones. Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. Provides day-to-day direction to project resources. Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Responsible for preparation of documentation, status reports and budgets. Role requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills. Specialized knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word. 3+ years of experience.

Additional Information :
This person will be working with the teams in billing to oversee between 6-8 medium to large projects at a time. Jeff is looking for someone who is comfortable doing PM and some BA work alongside of it. Look for an analytical thinker who has an agile mindset but can work in a waterfall environment. Jeff likes people with a contracting background as it shows the persons flexibility to work for different companies and industries successfully. Billing and telecom are not required experience but either one could be beneficial. Jeff has some great PM's with 25 years experience but the urgency is not where he needs it to be, looking for some more junior level PMs with 3+ yr experience. This is a waterfall environment but he wants someone who has an agile mindset and can be flexible when it comes to working on projects.
