Role: AWS RDS Admin/ AWS Cloud Admin Location: Remote Duration: Contract JD: Job Requirement: RDS Database Administration • Setting up monitoring/alerts for RDS DB metrics • RDS Database reliability • RDS Performance optimization and tuning • RDS Database Backup & disaster recovery planning/testing • RDS DB Query and performance troubleshooting • RDS Capacity planning • Familiarity with RDS DB monitoring tools and best practices • Familiarity with RDS DB security and cloud security • Configuring the parameter group • Managing IP traffic using a security group • Auditing the RDS database log files • RDS DB Maintenance and management activities • RDS User management • Own and drive end to end solution of transformational opportunities for internal LoB, • Understand LoB client’s explicit and implied requirements • Develop and implement technically sound solution addressing LoB’s requirements Interface with CoE Leads, technical leads to socialize, communicate, and present solutions as needed • Facilitate deployment / migration of various enterprise application platforms, Business process on to AWS and AZURE target landing platforms • Help with roadmap construction, troubleshooting and remediation activities for application deployments / operational / performance issues on AWS and AZURE • Design and implement IaC (Infrastructure as Code) frameworks to manage dynamic enterprise cloud platforms. Professional Skills: • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Should have led or worked on minimum of two large hybrid/ public cloud-based transformation programs • Strong command of scripting (such as PowerShell or Python) and DevOps tools Should possess AWS certifications. • Data Scientists that are working with ML in Azure as required Interface for the Aflac Japan team that is looking to come into new US Subscriptions in Q1 • Understand the present Azure environment, projects, usage, consumption etc. and document the same • Review existing projects and implement opportunities for optimization and if required, course corrections • Support the Azure in environment. PS: Must be willing to travel up to 100% and operate out of client facilities Nice to Have • Insurance Domain experience
