Position: Sr. Data Analyst
Location: : San Francisco-hybrid-3 days/2 days remote
Visa: Any visa without employer name
Interview: Video/Skype
Duration: 6 months to start/with anticipated extension(s)
Seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to:
-Analyze and document data requirements from Databases, DataMarts and Business.
-Run ad-hoc analysis for product and business managers using standard query languages and operationalize for repeatable use via Tableau reporting suite.
-Code & modify SQL based on dashboard requirements.
-Maintain validation of business rules, documentation and distributions to proper stakeholders
-Train and educate co-workers on data analysis & best practices.
-Participate in design and delivery of curriculum related to rollout of new views to drive adoption & to enhance business decision-making capability.
-Work closely with product and business team to understand business requirement & perform data analysis
-Ability to derive insights from data & promote its value to stakeholders.
Exp./Skills:
-At least 8yrs. of exp. writing advanced SQL, performance tuning of BI queries, data modeling & data mining from multiple sources (SQL, ETL, DW).
-Banking exp. with the ability to interpret definitions & calculations from business language to developer logic.
-Exp. using business intelligence reporting tools like Tableau or PowerBI
-Expertise with data analytics best practices.
-Strong experience documenting data requirements, analyzing gaps, identifying data solutions and building consensus.
-Possess a strong foundation in data analytics, an understanding and foundation in data science.
-Statistical modeling exp. (R, SAS, SPSS). (preferred).
-Strong visualization design & development exp. with Tableau (and other B.I. tools).
-Expert in writing SQL queries.
-Excellent attention to detail and experience debugging code.
-Proven track record of delivery for business-critical BI/analytics projects.
-Ability to operate with cross-functional teams.
-Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Able to quickly analyze data to identify key element and apply them to the business.
-Clear, high-level understanding of complex data models and software integration/delivery.
-Excellent communication skills, including ability to present effectively to both business & technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
-BA or BS in Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering required.
