CMDB developer
Location: Bothell, WA (Day 1 Onsite)
Responsible for designing the architecture for the customers deployment of ServiceNow, specifically focusing on two initial elements, Discovery and CMDB. This position will be responsible for designing the architectural solution that will migrate the customer from legacy systems to ServiceNow for these offerings. The ServiceNow SME will need to develop plans for execution of the design and the deployment of ServiceNow Discovery, integrating the Discovery output into an Enterprise CMDB (in ServiceNow). The Enterprise CMDB will incorporate ServiceNow s CMDB solution and will be extended to include capabilities in the legacy CMDB solution that are not offered in ServiceNow s CMDB.
Able to develop and provide executive level briefings on the ServiceNow architecture and will be able to integrate other initiatives into the architecture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable and familiar in the ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery.
- can lead a customer through knowledge and requirements discussions for implementing and deploying following: Discovery, CMDB, Orchestration & Integrations
- Code and Develop customized Patterns, Probes and Sensors for Discovery and Service Mapping.
- Build and support integrations with data sources other than ServiceNow Discover.
- Setup and administration of MID servers if needed.
- Develop architecture and design documentation for an enterprise deployment of Discovery
- Monitor CMDB health and resolve conflicts between data sources. Interpret Discovery logs and data to diagnose issues.
- Sound knowledge in CMDB and it operation management
- Deliver technical workshops on ITOM: Discovery, CMDB, Orchestration, ITAM.
- Expert understanding on import sets and transform maps, working with external data sources, ServiceNow data mapping
- Knowledge on identification, classification rule in CMDB
- Articulate the ServiceNow CMDB Classes for Asset and Configuration, their relationships, and dependencies
- Required Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB Architecture.
- Troubleshoot & resolve CMDB and Discovery issues as need with Platform teams, network team and Security team.
- Provide recommendations to improve the Servicenow Platform.
- Perform root cause analysis for repeated failures.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a similar technical discipline, or comparable industry experience.
Must Have Certification
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery
