Description Backend Java Developer Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Description: The Privacy and Security organization at client is looking for an experienced Backend Java Developer who is passionate about solving complex problems. Client is the poster child of trusted enterprise cloud services today and nothing is more important to our continued success than the security and privacy of our customers data. We have multiple teams working to build class-leading security and privacy features at the platform level. Were an integral part of the client Customer 360 vision and building the next generation of Privacy and Security products with the goal of tightly integrating across all client products. Our organization is growing and we are building out a new team to provide class-leading data redundancy mechanisms that will help customers speedily recover from disasters. What you’ll do Design and develop both new and existing services as a hands-on engineer. Developing and potentially architecting new features, make sound design decisions on the basis of performance, scalability, and future expansion. Maintain end-to-end ownership of the services including design, development, automated testing, deployment, and debugging Lead by example by contributing high-quality, production-ready code that powers critical instrumentation of the client infrastructure. Writing unit and integration tests for your code to maintain adequate code coverage Tackle and advise others on complex problems that are ambiguous, sort through the complexity and dependencies, articulate the problem, and come up with elegant solutions. Partner with teams across client in aligning and building out a unified long-term plan and resources to support it. Communicate up, down, and across organizations on the current state of features that you work with. Required Skills Strong knowledge of Java and Object Oriented Programming, Spring Boot, Hibernate and RDBMS systems, Spark Familiarity with Asynchronous programming, Multi-threading, and REST APIs Familiarity with Kubernetes & AWS deployments Familiarity with Agile development methodology Experience with unit testing & continuous integration frameworks High-volume data processing via streaming/batching and similar solutions Commitment to good software practices - documentation, code reviews, and test-driven development. Preferred Skills JUnit Flyway Quartz scheduler Hive Metastore Trino OAuth Qualifications 4 + years of Backend experience building enterprise-scale web services Bachelors degree in computer science or similar engineering field (preferred) |
