Role Description: Performance Testing

 

Job Description/Responsibilities:

1. Performs integrations, stress, load, regression and performance testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance
2. Coordinates and execute upon the creation of Test Cases, scripts and performance test execution
3. Design, develop, and execute scripts which validate, to a high degree of confidence, test cases defined within the project's test plan
4. Perform automated load/performance testing across multiple messaging protocols, focusing on overall application performance - validating that application response and outputs accurately reflect business requirements
5. Tracks and communicates task progress, status, and key performance metrics
6. Report defects found in testing diligently, promptly, and accurately, using standard defect tracking tools 
7. Communicate effectively across multiple teams/external vendors (Operations, Project Teams, Quality Service, ), different personnel (Developers, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, ) when required

 

Skills for Performance Test Engineer

Jenkins, Selenium, Java, SDLC, Programming, Testing tools & Testing methodologies, UNIX, Cloud Infrastructure - particularly AWS & Orchestration with Kubernetes, Onprem Linux Environment, Scripts - bash scripts, Streaming modes Kafka  

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree - BE / BTech / MCA
2. At last 3 - 5 years of experience in manual & automation testing
3. Knowledge of QA Testing Methodologies and QA test tools such as JIRA,QTEST etc.
4. Proficient in automation test tools and hands-on experience in automation testing covering the requirement of meeting the Performance test.
5. Experience in Jenkins, Selenium/Appium and other automation testing tools
6. ETL experience testing in both Batch Processing (Files) and Streaming modes (Kafka)
7. Handson experience in creating scripts/utilities and tools for testing - Python, Shell Scripting etc.
8. Able to configure, debug and test in a containerized environment
9. Able to configure and use monitoring tools like Argo-CD, Prometheus, ELK, Aether, Grafana
10. Experience in understanding JSON, CSV formats
11. Able to track the problematic system by looking at the logs, traces, counters etc.
12. Experience in Integration, Performance and User Acceptance Testing. Able to set KPIs and benchmarks and strictly adhere to
13. Organized, proactive and punctual in testing and test reports
