Job description:


They're looking for someone who knows event based software development. They can come from a development or a cloud engineering background, but they have to be able to understand the superior software architecture and fight for the roadmap direction. They need to have AWS, JIRA Align and event management experience. This will be a senior level person

High Level Project Description (if applicable): Individual will be responsible for leading the claims process/platform to the cloud. They will meet with Gregg every day to discuss what's in the backlog to plan how to move forward. Then once per week they will meet to discuss what's in the planning phase and how they will push the product forward. Twice per week they will meet with the architecture group to plan solutions which will be centered around software event based architecture. The role will require them to lead the charge in pushing these solutions to the technical teams. They are truly setting the directions for the product(s). Will have 1-3 products in their purview.
Team size, Head count footprint of IT and department, what types of individuals will this person be working with and communicating with: working with several of the scrum teams in claims. These individuals will be working with the product owner team, the development teams and Gregg.

Job Description:

 Work closely with technical internal teams, including business product leadership, experience design services, engineering and development, to define technical features, stories and other requirements. You will be looking forward to assess the architecture runway of the program and collaborating with the development teams to ensure dependencies are fleshed out well ahead of delivery, help resolve technical solution options, and help to remove technical roadblocks.
· Define technical vision and roadmaps to meet transformation objectives and ensure dependencies are identified and worked, and solution approaches are fleshed out with architects.
· Working with architects and engineers, evaluates competing solution approaches, and scans the commercial and opensource markets for capability-oriented and emerging development and technology trends.
· Provide direction for business systems analysts delivering projects for platform components to meet business objectives and executing in scrum methodology.
· Inspect the business & technical roadmaps, backlogs and associated delivery plans using your own tech depth, product development experience and business acumen to assess risks and continuously raising the bar across all platform product dimensions. Explore new ways of improving existing services and products solutions.
· Define and build your own scorecard to continuously monitor and analyze roadmap durability, backlog health, velocity, quality, feature throughput, product performance and use this data to drive incremental improvements across program engineering practices.
· Build and cultivate strong internal customer relationships to ensure delivery of quality products in alignment with expectations and uncover cross company requirements.
· Empower the full autonomy of our teams by empowering them with the groomed solutions needed to deliver effectively in a lean delivery model.
· Coordinate product releases with business and development teams



Technical requirements:
-some sort of development experience (understands software patters) in java, C#. Would also look at someone with technical cloud engineering exp
-understands and can explain what event driven microservices are (event driven architecture/software even based management)
-experience writing user stories


Soft skill requirements:
-individual has to have ability to push the direction and not be pushed around by the developers and architects
