Description:

This is a contract to hire for a Senior Java Developer for Common Services. The candidate will help build a various tools for messages processing for internal and external customers. 

Qualifications required: 
•    5+ years’ experience developing complex, mission critical transaction processing applications.
•    Strong Core Java development experience in a UNIX environment (preferably RHEL) using WebSphere, Tomcat and IBM MQ.
•    Experience with Java Spring framework
•    Experience in the development of Multi-Tier distributed Enterprise Applications.
•    UNIX Shell scripting.
•    Experience with relational databases such as DB2, Oracle.
•    Experience with Apache Camel
•    Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures
•    Attention to detail and ability to drive tasks to completion.
•    Strong knowledge of waterfall and/or Agile SDLCs and practices.
•    Experience with build automation tools and CI/CD pipeline software such as TFS, Git, Jenkins, Maven, etc.
•    Experience developing Web Services REST, JAXB, SOAP, JAX-WS, WSDL .
•    Excellent team player with good analytical, strategic planning and interpersonal and communication skills. Highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-starter.
•    Strong knowledge of XML and XSD

Qualifications desired: 
•    Money transfer experience especially knowledge of SWIFT, FED or CHIPS payment processing and settlement is a strong plus.
•    Experience with ISO 20022 payment formats is a plus.
•    Experience in Kafka is a plus.
•    Experience in NoSQL database is a plus.
•    Experience with Docker and AWS is preferred.
•    Experience designing front end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and React.js/Single-page app
