Description:

This position requires a good understanding of the Android ecosystem, development and interpersonal communication skills to work within a team of business analysts, software engineers, architects, and testers to design and develop world class software for our clients. Successful candidates will have experience with Agile software development and will assume major responsibilities for the development, engineering, and integration of a wide variety of applications by following industry standard design patterns and best practices. The successful candidate will work to develop their domain and system knowledge and will be responsible for thorough documentation, JUnit tests, and Android instrumentation tests.

Senior Level
Technical Skills

• Android Development
• Comfortable with Retrofit and OkHttp
• Comfortable using RxJava
• Git - Code Repository tools (or similar) – familiarity with managing branches
• Dagger or other dependency injection libraries
• Android Architecture Components – Comfortable modifying and appending existing designs
• Experience with JUnit testing – Knowledgeable on setting up testing frameworks
• Android instrumentation testing (Mockito, Expresso)

Responsibilities

• Develop object-oriented software that conforms to best practices to ensure reusability and repeatability
• Managing expectations, time bound response and solution to the technical issues
• Unit and Instrumentation testing
• Ability to participate in peer code reviews, review test objectives and test cases
• Ability to work with peers during paired programming stories
• Ability to work independently while also supporting fellow developers
• Understand missing story scope and ability to gather requirements

• Communicates well in both verbal and written forms
• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices
• Stays current on relevant technologies and trends, aware of alternative libraries
• Works diligently and maintains focus to achieve goals
