1. Design, build, install and configure highly available and reliable Cognos Platform 2. Perform Operational tasks like code deployment, app start/stop, troubleshooting etc 3. Coaching/Mentoring of Junior team members- 2-3 years of experience
Minimum overall 8 years of experience Bachelor's Degree
Current version of Cognos: 11.1.7. We are planning to upgrade to 11.2
Summary:
Installation, Configuration and working knowledge of Packaged IBM Products like Cognos, DataStage, Operational Decision Manager (BRE) • Installation/Configuration of Webservers like Apache, IBM HTTP Server, IIS • Experience working with Databases like Snowflake, SQL server, Oracle • Experience with various Cloud Technologies and working knowledge of deploying applications in a Cloud Platform like Azure, AWS. • Experience with Automation with tools like Ansible, Cloud formation. • Expert knowledge in Tuning and Troubleshooting of JVMs. • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux) Operating Systems. • Good technical knowledge of application networking, firewalls and load balancing applications • Experience working with ITIL v3 practices for Service Level, Problem, Incident and Change Management. • Good scripting knowledge (Unix/Linux shell scripting, Python, YAML) • Solid understanding of High Availability architecture and Disaster Recovery / BCP capabilities • Good understanding of security best practices and how to implement performant solutions in a controlled environment. • Experience managing SOX applications by implementing appropriate SOX controls. • Capability to delegate and manage work effectively from Offshore Resources. • Participate in on-call rotation for Level 3 Escalation • Working knowledge in Agile Methodologies like Scrum, Kanban • Implementation of Mobile for packaged software like Cognos,Tableau.
