Amazon Web Services (AWS) DBA MySQL
· RDS MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, Maria DB, Aurora
· Provisioning and configuration of Redshift
· Data Migration (DMS)
· Disaster Recovery (Multi-Region failovers)
· Experience with Automation – CI/CD Pipeline Jenkins, AWS Services with Terraform, CloudFormation
· Responsible for regular maintenance on databases (Vacuum, Re-indexing, Archiving, etc)
· Participate in application development projects and be responsible for database architecture and design.
· Understand how to identify cost savings in AWS
· Responsible for database backups and recovery.
· Responsible for monitoring and uptime of production databases. – PMM (Percona)
· Responsible for query tuning and preventative maintenance.
· Strong troubleshooting and proactive analytical skills to ensure minimum downtime of production databases
· Responsible for optimizing and troubleshoot stored procedure languages
· Must have proven ability to follow priorities and timelines
· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proven ability to work independently or as an integral member of a team
· Participate in on-call support during off hours
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of AWS experience
· Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
