Java ProductionSupport Engineer - PCF

Project Scope:

Debugging Skills,Java, Spring Boot, SQL, ITSM Activities, Remedy, Monitoring

 

Role &Responsibilities:

Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle ofservicesâ€"from inception and design, through deployment, operation andrefinement.

Analyze ITSM activities of the platform and providefeedback loop to development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns.

Support services before they go live throughactivities such as system design consulting, capacity planning and launchreviews.  E

Ensure products/applications being put into productionare designed with internal/external customer objectives/experience inmind.  Products are well-developed using collaboration between Biz OpsTeams, operationally ready, in-tact automation is in place, and product is fullysupportable by our React (Production Support) Team. 

Maintain services once they are live by measuring andmonitoring availability, latency and overall system health. 

 

Required skills

This can be done through multiple dashboardtypes/reporting capabilities. 

Proper alerting should be put in place with carefullydefined criteria (collaboration between Dev/Product/Biz Ops Teams) to notifyappropriate teams if and when necessary. 

Defined criticality with notification mechanisms, etc.

Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms likeautomation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliabilityand velocity.

Support the application CI/CD pipeline for promotingsoftware into higher environments through validation and operational toll gating,and lead in DevOps automation and best practices.  Any product/applicationmoving through the lower environments and into production should beoperationally ready and meet defined Production Readiness standards
