Client: CFC (Cincinnati Financials)

Title : Sr Data Analyst (SQL/XML)

Job Location: Cincinnati, OH work in office 2 days/week

MUST HAVE VG Communication skills.

Duration : 6 months CTH.

Visa : Requires GC or USC

Must have highlighted skills or they will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

Acts as a liaison between business units and IT.
Develops and maintains knowledge of customer's business and data needs
Creates clarity around needs and requests by leading requirements gathering sessions with business unit and end user; documents end user requirements for data capture, program functions, data quality, reports and analysis, and training
Supports Developers and Data Modelers through the project lifecycle
Develops and executes test plans based on appropriate coverage for the functionality being delivered
Utilizes deep understanding of data systems & objects as well as SQL to perform detailed data validations against a variety of data warehouses
Performs analysis for production support of systems and applications, creates associated documentation and coordinates resolutions
Supports project-level efforts in helping refine scope, providing initial estimates and other activities as needed
Makes recommendations for business process improvements with a thorough understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to technology needs
Assists with design and implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient

Qualifications:

Has a comprehensive understanding of business user requirements and strong knowledge of business information data sources and business data rules
Strong skills in relational data base tools, including SQL
Exhibits strong business knowledge of insurance and overall business knowledge
Understanding and experience with Insurance or Financial transactions (XML)
Advanced levels of requisite analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking & communication skills
Ability to navigate complex IT organizational structures & the relationships within, negotiate between competing objectives & priorities and help resolve conflicts, while maintaining the integrity of those partnerships
Strong skills of reporting tools and databases
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills and strong customer relationships
Ability to self-manage and stay on track with commitments; resourceful in solving problems and removing impediments
Ability to think creatively, champion new ideas and challenge the status quo
Adaptable and effectively cope with rapidly changing business landscape

Experience:

5 or more years of related experience as IT or Business Analysis that includes researching, testing, documenting and/or maintaining applications or using applications in a business setting
Experience in Data Warehousing, Integration, Data Mapping
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Agile delivery experience, a plus
Commercial Insurance experience, a plus
Development background, a plus
