Job Description
We are looking to hire a seasoned Cobol/iSeries Developer who has at minimum 5 years of professional IT Development experience. In this opportunity, you will be hands-on, doing new development, doing custom development, and enhancements to existing applications. This position is starting off remote but you must be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA once the office opens back up. At that point, you will need to work onsite 3 days a week.
Essential Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for programming a feature and or a small feature set. You will contribute to the team and take direction from the Senior Team Members or management but work independently.
Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience on iSeries
Experience required:
Experience with COBOL programming
Experience with iSeries Operating System
Experience with writing CL programs
Experience with database and database tools (DB2, DFU, WRKDBF, CPYF)
Experience with querying data (WRKQRY, STRSQL, SQL)
Experience with iSeries libraries
Experience with managing iSeries jobs
Experience with saving and restoring objects on the iSeries
Experience with iSeries Navigator
Experience with tracking tools, Rally and Aldon
Experience with error monitoring
Experience with problem resolution
Has the ability to take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary
Voices opinions and presents clear rationale. Uses data or factual evidence to influence
Recognizes collaborative behavior and participates in collaborative activities
