Voice and Data Network Engineer

Bridgewater NJ (Onsite Role)

Primary Responsibilities:
·        Responsible for day-to-day operations, management and troubleshooting of voice and data networks.
·        Performs technical analysis and administration tasks associated with Cisco voice routers, collaboration server and basic network tasks. Assist with all telecom duties which includes circuit management, DID assignments and troubleshooting.
·        Assist with mobile management with carriers
·        Responsible for video conferencing infrastructure which includes administration and troubleshooting
·        Handle support tickets associated with collaboration technologies
Skills:
Experience in maintaining VoIP for large enterprise environments.
Must have hands-on experience with Installation, upgrade and migration of Cisco Collaboration technologies including CUCM, MRA, Jabber, Unity, Emergency responder, Webex, Webex Calling, etc.
Experience with cloud contact center configuration and scripting e.g Five9’s
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and configuration on with SIP, T1/E1 and POT's line configurations and troubleshooting CUBE, Client, H.323, SIP gateways.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software or networking related problems.
Familiarity with web conferencing platforms including Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, etc
 
Preferred Certifications:
•CCNA                •CCNP – Voice
Job Profile Summary:
Perform problem management and configuration management related to IT operations and support.
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage problems which escalate beyond the status of incident.
Coordinate the appropriate personnel to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Perform root cause analysis on resolved problems.
Analyze and document the architecture and configuration of application infrastructure.
Lead the support and configuration activities for technologies where you have been designated a subject matter expert.
Collaborate with other IT personnel on technology and support issues.
 
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in computer sciences and/or at least 5 years job-related experience.
 
Experience in the support and function of:
-Collaboration technologies
-Audio Visual technologies
-Infrastructure hardware configuration
-IP networking
-Windows Server and/or Unix operating systems
-Shared storage technologies
-Virtualization technologies
-Event monitoring, logging and data collection techniques
 
Training and experience relative to:
-Communications
-Experienced interacting with external customers and vendors relationships
-Operating systems software
-Computer hardware
-Networking
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of current data networking and/or server technologies
Ability to apply arithmetic and computer math.
Ability to identify, research, and analyze systems software problems and perform systems evaluations.
Ability to review and interpret manuals, journals, computer display screens, computer printouts, error logs, and correspondence.
Ability to research, prepare, and compose systems operating procedures and documentation, reports, and correspondence.
Ability to interact, advise, guide, train, and communicate effectively.
Ability to communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations.
