Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a team of Data Scientists and Associate Data Scientists, to focus on providing support and solutions to our manufacturing operations. Working closely with business partners and engineers, the Data Scientists support operations through development and deployment of useful and scalable statistical, machine learning, and deep learning models that make our facilities safe, efficient, and optimal.
We are currently working on several use cases where thousands of models run in real-time to provide insights across manufacturing operations via predictive and prescriptive analytics. Examples include failure prediction utilizing vibration data, operating parameter optimization, and anomaly detection. We have an opportunity to integrate real-time models and predictions into systems that are capable of controlling equipment. We envision the next generation of models to be trained in the cloud, but distributed to run at the facility via Kubernetes and other orchestration methodologies.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Analytics Project Ownership: Own all aspects of analytics projects from start to finish – pursuing innovative ideas, developing models, uncovering and communicating actionable insights, and implementing solutions to capture value.
Working with various engineering teams, own end-to-end solution development and scaling focused on Operations (manufacturing) challenges.
Partnership: Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners to enable improved decision making.
Focus needs to remain on building minimum viable product towards solving majority of the issue instead of "perfecting" the solution, unless critical to safety.
Ability to operate independently and self-manage
