Duration: 12 Months

Rate: $60/Hr. on C2C

 

Job Description

The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of o one GIS Developer hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of L Level 3 – Emerging technology and the specifications outlined in this document for T Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT).       
[Customer – description of job]:  This GIS Developer will configure ArcGIS Collector to build a mobile application that will be used internally at TxDOT.  This candidate must be comfortable adopting supporting and working within different Agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban) and must help prioritize projects within those managed processes. Plans, develops, tests, and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. Evaluates user request for new or modified program, such as for financial or human resource management systems, clinical research trial results, statistical study of traffic patterns, or analyzing and developing specifications for bridge design, to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities. Consults with user to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop program, using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or object-oriented development. 

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required) 
 
Minimum (Required): insert specific minimum skills for this Contract Position) Years Skills/Experience 
 8  Experience developing software solutions with web technologies

5  Experience configuring ArcGIS Collector mobile applications.

5  Experience developing applications using ESRI JavaScript API 4.0.

5 Experience developing web applications using Portal 10.7.1 and ArcGIS server 10.7.1 in the backend.

5  Experienced in Software methodologies like Agile, scrum methodologies

8  Excellent communication, written and verbal 

Preferred (Optional): insert specific preferred skills for this Contract Position) Years  Skills/Experience 

3  Experience integrating ESRI products with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.

3  Knowledge about maintaining RDS database instances for SQL Server.

3  Proficient understanding of CI/CD, code versioning tools, such as Jira, Git, VSTS, and TFS
