Job Description

Apex Systems has an opening for a Project Functional Lead role supporting one of our state/local clients and will provide direct support to the functional lead for all projects details. The role/resource will work under the direction of the Functional Lead. Completion of the work will still be the Functional Lead's responsibility. The resource will be an extra set of hands during the project allowing the functional lead to focus on both the project and their operational duties.

 

 

 

Project Functional Lead Knowledge/Background should include:

-Experience with City or Governmental Financial Systems – specifically in projects

-Experience with Workday

-Strong knowledge of Capital Projects and various touch points within an ERP (e.g. Suppliers, Financial Accounting, Expenses, Time Tracking, Payroll, HCM, etc.)

-Knowledge of accounting such as Work in Progress (WIP)

-Knowledge of project budgets and the concept of budget checking

-Experience gathering complex requirements and documenting into requirements

Traceability matrix (RTM)

-An understanding of role-based security and segregation of duties within an ERP

-Ability to prepare operations manuals, job aides, and provide lead/agency training

-Ability to support the training department and agency coordinators

-Ability to create client specific testing scripts based on client specific requirements

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Advanced ability using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

 

Minimum Education Requirements

 

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

-Five years of related experience

-Three years of supervisory experience

-An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
