Role: Migration Developer Description: UST is looking for a talented Software Developer who has experience in configuring API gateways. The project involves replacement of existing gateways like HA Proxy, AWS API Gateway, Apigee etc with a home grown API Gateway solution, and as part of that UST is looking for a migration developer resource with hands on experience in Scripting tools like Python, Shell scripting. Key Responsibilities · The primary responsibility will be to write scripts, develop code that automates the deployment and configuration of API gateways in the cloud infrastructure. · Test case creation and execution and automated functional test creation is needed to test the developed code in primary responsibility. Skill requirements · 8+ years of overall IT experience with 3+ years of hands on experience in Python, Shell scripting. · Experience writing scripts to automate the migration of configuration changes from the existing gateway to a new API gateway. · Experience in CLI based migration tools. · Experience on HA Proxy or other API proxy set up. · Experience coordinating with multiple teams on the migration related activities · Experience of API and service-based architectures using SOAP, REST APIs, micro-services and utilizing YAML, JSON · CI/CD tools - Confluence, Jira, GIT, GitHub, SonarQube, checkmarks · Experience with DevOps processes · Agile methodologies - SAFe, Kanban · Providing operational support / troubleshooting for the existing applications · Software development principles, practices and concepts · Object Oriented (OO) concepts and how they apply to design, architecture and application development · Exposure to AWS Deployments, Containers (Dockers / Kubernetes) · Knowledge of implementation considerations for UI technologies including jQuery, WebSphere, React · API Lifecycle Management & Lifecycle Automation
