Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant – Big Data Hadoop L3 Developer with Application Support

In this role, you will be responsible for working as Big data L3 Developer and Application Support and Work with business people to have a real time understanding of business problem and, craft the solution which really fits into customer needs.

Responsibilities

Big data technologies - Hadoop, hive
Java, Scala. Spark, Fusion, HDFS, Sqoop, Oozie.
Unix shell scripting
Agile Methodology
Maintain / Development of server-side components that meet the business requirements in an effective and efficient manner.
Directly collaborate with business analysts in understanding the requirement and providing solutions

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor’s or Masters in Computer Science or related field from a reputable institute
Financial Services experience is a plus
Investment banking and finance domain understanding
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications

Hands on experience with version control, build integration and messaging technologies
Need to demonstrate in-depth understanding of OO principles, design patterns and threading techniques
Strong Web Services background, analytical, problem solving skills, computer science and data-structure fundamentals
Appreciation for design patterns/anti-patterns
Appreciation for team-work
Ability to build or work in a continuous integration framework
Must be able to get along with all levels of personnel within the organization and be effective with both business and technical teams
Ability to take care of ambiguity and define approaches to bring unfocused issues to resolution
Excellent written and oral communication skills for handling interactions both within the team and without
Very good attention to detail and Good work ethic
