Minneapolis, MN

12+ months contract

 

Rate:- $55 to $60/hr on C2C

Except OPT & CPT all visa open


 
Client is seeking for Engineer with Prod Support, Monitoring, and Performance Engineering exposure to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. In this role you will be part of the Branch L3 team, and responsible for improving the stability, availability, supportability, and performance aspects of multiple applications. You will be working closely with L2/L1 support, development, and IT support groups while collaborating with several lines of business.

 

 

Additional Accountabilities:

 

  • Drive high severity production incident calls to quick resolution
  • Design and implement strategies to effectively monitor for application health, stability and performance
  • Pro-active monitoring to prevent major incidents  
  • Guide technical support staff and clients to investigate, analyze, and resolve highly complex technical problems
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of performance problems.
    Work with application development, network, database, and infrastructure specialists to identify and implement performance improvements. Take the lead on assisting development teams in planning on-going performance support and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with developers to promote performance engineering best practices to catch performance earlier in the SDLC life cycle
  • Responsible for analysis of performance results and measurements and the reporting of those results back to project teams, development teams, management, and business stakeholders
  • Able to serve as subject matter expert for performance testing and performance test tools.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience across multiple technology disciplines
  • 5+ years of experience in support and performance engineering role for large applications

 

Extensive experience in/with:

  • Experience with Applications developed using Java, Angular, Spring boot, .Net Core, ASP.NET, Require.js, Angular, JSON, Node.js, Rest API, HTML5, etc.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools such as App Dynamics, Dynatrace etc and log monitoring tools such as Splunk, Kibana etc
  • Experience working with complex Web development projects
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent technical knowledge with experience in supporting large-scale applications
  • Agile methodology/deliveries
  • Experience with diagnostics tools to identify root cause like jProfiler.
  • Automated testing tools such as LoadRunner, jMeter
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and resolve
  • Good understanding of ITIL process
  • Expertise in Application delivery process
  • Experience/Expert knowledge in converting monolithic applications to APIs
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies and APIGEE
  • Experience with DevOps, Agile, automation & Cloud implementation strategies.
  • Experience with diagnostics tools to identify root cause in application code.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools such as Firebug, Fiddler, Httpwatch
  • Exposure and working knowledge on No SQL database, relational databases systems MS SQL Server or similar RDBMS
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboration with team
  • Strong technical, logical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
