Position : Quality Engineer
Location : Blue Ash, OH (Remote)
Duration : 06 months with potential to extend
Job Description The highly experienced quality professional who works under supervision , learns quickly , and brings ideas and passion to their daily responsibilities and executes work to completion with excellence in a timely manner.
Skill/Experience Requirements:
*Experience working with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab etc.)
*Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment *Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root cause utilizing tools ( Jira , Rally etc.)
*Strong understanding of automation concepts and approaches .
*Experience working with or on remote teams
*Understand and utilize risk based testing technique
*Experience in test environment and test data management
*Strong communication and collaboration skills , to challenge the norm
Specialization/Role Requirements for Automation
*3+ years of experience writing Selenium tests in Java or Javascript using ( Web Driver , Web Driver IO, Marathon , Appium etc.)
*3+ years of experience with test runners (Junit, TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine)
*3+ years of experience with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab)
*1+ years of experience with Selenium Grid
*2+ years of working in an Agile/Scrum methodology
*1+ years of using Jira for defect tracking
*2+ years of using Quality Center/ALM for test case management
*Use SQL for back-end database validation
*Prefer Selenium being utilized in the current/most recent project
*Prefer Agile methodology being utilized in the current/most recent project
*Prefer experience in the SAFe Agile approach
*Develop and maintain functional automation test scripts utilizing modular frameworks and best practices
Essential Job Functions
• Analyze requirements and provide feedback on completeness and testability
• Provide accurate estimates for QA efforts including test case design/scripting, test data management, test execution, and defect correction
• Design and create test cases/scripts that provide accurate and complete coverage of the requirements, including positive scenarios, negative scenarios, and edge case
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests, following Kroger test automation guidelines and best practices
• Maintain the health of automated test scripts to ensure efficient operation of the continuous integration pipeline
• Identify and document defects found during test cycles, participating in defect prioritization sessions and root cause analysis
• Provide ideas and feedback on test automation frameworks and opportunities to improve
• Participate in all ceremonies, meetings, and sessions held for the project and team
• Assist with building and maintaining test environments and driving their best use
• Understand Kroger’s core quality metrics and how to utilize them to foster quality improvement
Minimum Qualifications
• Any entry level experience using SQL or other query methods to validate data changes in the database
• Working knowledge of automated test frameworks and test runners
• Basic understanding of test case management and test case management tools
• Working knowledge of continuous integration tools
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance and software testing in a technology environmen
• Ability to develop and execute automated test scripts
• Knowledge of an Agile/Scrum environment
• General understanding of defect management and the use of defect management tools
• Experience with Selenium and Sonar Qube
Desired Previous Job Experience
•Any proven experience with automated testing in a cloud environmen
•Any experience with creating test data and utilizing test data management tools.
