Title: SQL Developer Location: Concord, NH 03301 (Position can be fully remote) Short Description: SQL developer will perform analysis, design and translation of programming functions into information systems solutions to support SLDS data warehouse. Roles and Responsibilities: - Designs, creates, and documents functional, system and program specifications for Department of Education.
- Oversees the quality and design integrity of all assigned programming activities, including the delivery of functionality, data management, analysis, coding, unit and systems testing, debugging, test data preparation, implementation, and initial documentation.
- Develops, designs, and/or recommends software development standards; monitors adherence to standards by assigned staff.
- Prepares specifications documentation and maintains application software, assuring compliance with agency standards.
- Analyzes, designs, and implements data warehousing projects, implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware or other technologies and defines user interfaces and functional specifications.
- Responsible for verifying accuracy of data and maintaining and supporting the data warehouse.
Skills and Technologies: - Must have strong experience with a T-SQL and MS SQL server database, MS SSRS, and MS SSIS,
- Must have strong prior experience in database design and development.
- Must have at least six years' experience as database programmer
- Must have data warehousing experience.
- Tableau knowledge a plus.
Must be detail-oriented, well organized, be a problem-solver with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written. Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative to seek out information or clarification relevant to work assigned. Knowledge of current methods of computer systems analysis and design. Knowledge of management principles and practices and their relationship to computerization. Knowledge of the principles of computer programming and the capabilities and requirements of information systems. Knowledge of the application and use of peripheral computer-related equipment. Ability to explain technical operations in easily understood language for non-technical personnel..
