Role: Project Manager with SAP experience
Location: Des Moines, Iowa(Remote job now, then to Des Moines Iowa once the office is open this summer)
Duration: 1 year contract
Direct client- C2C
The PM will deliver a Project Charter by end of Planning phase to be approved by team.
- Scope definition, Scenario, Process and Process steps defined in Solution Manager.

- Schedule project, main milestones and specific tasks in MS-Project Server.
-- Follow PMO Stage Gate reviews (PRB weekly meetings) and guidelines.
- Risk and Issue management, list maintained, and Issues/Risks escalated in timely manner using SharePoint/Teams
- Cost/Value management, Budget and Actual, for any partner, service or licensing costs related to project. Help identify Benefits provided by solution.
- Quality management to check all procedures are correctly followed and required documentation provided at each step (Design Requirements, Specifications both technical and functional, Test documents for FUT, SIT, UAT, Training documentation, Knowledge Transfer documentation for Run & Maintain team, Closure document, periodic Status Report…)
- Stakeholder management to understand requirements, prioritize scope and Feature backlog, alert for any change of scope, prioritize and communicate to stakeholder.
- PM will manage Resources in relation with Program Manager and TPM
- Communication will include weekly status report from Compass, weekly coordination calls, stakeholder and team communication at milestones, with Partners in project, with other impacted projects.
- Procurement of Services will be initiated by PM and then manager by Corteva.
Project Manager:
This role will be within the IT Strategy and Planning – Delivery Management team. This team is charged with delivering business value via the execution of programs and/or projects. Specifically, this position will work with the Program Managers, Technical Product Managers, IT Business Partners and Product Owners, among others to execute all aspects of a project(s).
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
May be responsible for one or more projects using whatever necessary methods are applicable.
Works with Product Owners, Technical Product Managers and Business Analysts to determine project goals and priorities.
Analyze risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigating action. Gather stakeholder input, rank the top project risks in terms of total impact.
Co-create and/or maintain a project charter with the team, including the definition of completion criteria.
Create and maintain dynamic project schedules using Corteva's project management platform.
With Estimator(s), compile a complete and accurate estimate of a project; using reserves appropriately.
Organize the work into manageable activity clusters (deliverables or epics) and determines an effective approach to completing the work.
Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project's objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.
Negotiate the performance of activities with team members and their managers if operating in a matrix environment.
Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables; mentor others in project management practices; review quality of work and manages integration of team members' work
Support requirements of the Program Manager to provide necessary information and support for successful program delivery.
Track and give clear, realistic reports on progress related to value, cost and schedule.
Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, keeping them informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
Ensure milestone and stage gate reviews are held in accordance with Corteva's guidelines.
Proactively manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting, estimate to actual variance, capital project management, etc. ensuring project information is current and accurate. This will include an ongoing analysis of baseline against actuals (i.e., Incurred Costs) and understand the factors that contributed to any variance.
Effectively coordinates the activities of the team to meet project milestones.
Proactively identify changes in scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external clients to reassess and amend the scope of work requirement, budget, and timeline. Utilize change requests when necessary.
Provide suggestions and recommendations for process improvements as projects progress through the life cycle.
