Position: Java Full stack Developer Location: Blue Ash, OH (Remote) Duration : 12 months with potential to extend
Note : Need candidates who are strong on Java with Azure, there will be onsite tests which candidates have taken. Job Description - As a Fullstack Developer, you will have the opportunity to design, build, test, maintain, and have a direct and meaningful impact on the roadmap of the digital platform. This highly innovative team situated in downtown San Jose, California. You will be responsible for design and development of Orchestration service layer of highly scalable eCommerce web application.
- The Fullstack Developer strives to continuously improve the software delivery processes and practices and be a role model and demonstrates the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.
- Some requirements of the role:
- • 6+ years of Server-side development experience with Node.js and Java / Spring
- • Significant knowledge of Frontend web development stack with Javascript / CSS and Angular or React
- • Knowledge of SQL Database and NoSQL Databases ( MongoDB / Cassandra )
- • Strong analytical problem solving skills
- • Experience with modern micro-service architecture
- • Proven Experience in building RESTful APIs and a deep understanding of REST principles
- • Detail oriented and work well in a team and individually
- • Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work under pressure
- • Understanding of the entire development process (design, development and deployment)
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times
- • Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills
- • Business-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlines
- Key Responsibilities
- • Identify and uphold Fullstack engineering best practices
- • Collaborate with designers & product managers to iterate on the design & implementation of our product
- • Work with Engineers from our consumers to build and ship features
- • Design a framework for creating services that grows with the needs of the company
- • Monitor performance, watch for traffic drops related to usability problems & rectify the issues
- • Review app and feature code, and plan future API upgrades with the development team
- • Assist in the development of applications & features that will be put on the website, mobile app, and external client apps
- • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
- These resources will be working with our platform team to Standup Azure services and support development of core services within the platform.
- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop high-quality codebase, participate in design discussions, execute development against design, and navigate complex codebase
- Build partnerships across the application, business, and infrastructure teams
- Develop programming specifications. Design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices
- Complete estimates and work plans with more senior team members’ assistance as appropriate for design, development, implementation and rollout tasks
- Create technical system documentation and ensure that this documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC
- Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are managed appropriately; ensure that completed assignments are of the highest quality
- Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies. Provide support for applications, including involvement with the Support
- Center, NOC, Infrastructure teams, and vendors as appropriate
- Participate in on-call rotation periodically
Minimum Position Qualifications - Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within the organization
- Proven track record of delivering objectives on time and within budge
- 3+ Years in developing Java applications and/or Node JS
- 3+ years in Azure cloud software development including designing for scale, performance and reliability
- 3+ years of proven track record of designing and delivering large scale, high-quality systems
- 3+ years of successful and applicable experience that can deliver on building complex software automation (DevOps).
Desired Previous Job Experience/Education - STEM major 3+ years of successful and applicable hands-on experience in software or infrastructure development domain and principles, including design patterns and code structure
- Strong knowledge of industry trends
- Proven ability to think and contribute at the strategic level
- Demonstrated written, oral and presentation/public speaking communication skills
- Understanding of network and security architecture on Azure
- Deep knowledge in a minimum of two of the following technical disciplines: infrastructure and network design, application development, application programming interfaces (APIs), cloud, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations
