Business Analyst (Retail Experience) || Fully Remote (GC/USC only)

Important:

Need: 3-4 years in retail (this is crucial) – should have replenishment experience and/or MDM.  

 

Bonus: Experience with Symphony GOLD software AND/OR experience with Artificial Intelligence

Dollar General is a PowerBI shop. These BA's won't need to pull or format data themselves, BUT they will work with the development team to gather data and build requirements off that.

 

Client: Dollar General

Role: Business Analyst (4 openings)

Contract, CTH, Direct Hire:	Contract (ongoing – 6 month renewables)
OT Expectations:	Nothing atypical
Target Start Date:	ASAP
Location: Flex hours, WFH, Travel, etc.	Fully Remote *local candidates would be a bonus!
Why is this position open:	These teams are responsible for the entire suite of products across the Dollar General ecosystem inclusive of Supply Chain, Retail Stores, and Enterprise Applications. There is a strong focus on strategic supply chain initiatives; leveraging AI to inform a high velocity item / day forecast to migrate from multiple days per week to once a week replenishment and deploying custom DSD/CAO capabilities to 16,000+ stores.   As these teams grown, they will need to bring on additional support for scrum teams. Teams do not currently have Business Analysts. As these teams restructure, current Senior Engineers and Product Owners will need to focus more on strategy and vision, while bringing in these additional Business Analysts to focus more on execution.
Interview Process:	30 minute Video interview with Manager 30 minute Video interview with team
TOP 3:	3 - 5 years of relevant Business Analyst experience in IT (demonstrated knowledge of the product management discipline). 3-4+ years' experience in retail technology / CPG industry. Basic familiarity with the principles of design thinking and agile software delivery.
Nice to have, bonus skills:	Experience with Symphony GOLD software!
Job Overview / Scope:	The Business Analyst will work closely with the Product Owners and end user representatives to develop functional requirements, wireframes and storyboards for large custom development projects. The Business Analyst will work with the Product Owners to groom the Product Backlog in support of upcoming Sprint work. Elicit, define and analyze medium - complex requirements in various formats ensuring they are testable, measurable and traceable. Lead the appropriate teams to refine, prioritize and manage requirements in various tools such as templates, Team Backlogs, Requirements Management or Agile Task Management applications. Collaborate with the appropriate teams to build the business case and project justification.
