Role : Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Location: Menlo Park, CA
Duration : 24 Months ( Long Term ) – Remote till COVID-19 !
Required Skills
- self-sufficient and experience in project managing: large volume of manual blocker tasks: email relay, permission configuration for repos, project group to tool mapping
- experience in handling enterprise system migrations (for future work in moving to microservices framework, moving to shared services)
- software engineering background (Kubernetes, auth, log management, metric management, alerts, alarms)
- Develop, test and deploy kernel upgrade solution that works in conjunction with the developed build and packaging solution with production of containers
- Develop, test and deploy a frequent and semi-automated security updates that ensures that all supported devices have no known vulnerabilities and that necessary VA / PT tests are incorporated into the update process
- Integrate Magma with RAN and OSS/BSS systems or any experience on embedded systems or build products
- Improve security, visibility and operability of build tools and environment to engineering teams and development managers, as necessary in a cloud and micro services environment
- Automate the complete solution with full integration into the existing CI / CD framework
- Evaluate multiple solutions with engineering teams and discuss associated trade-offs in each solution
- Determine the most suitable and practical solution and achieve team buy-ins before implementation, as necessary
- Develop playbooks for deploying Magma solution end2end in partner / other labs
- Direct and coach engineering teams on industry best practices around Linux build engineering, packaging, DevOps and release engineering best practices
- Determine the most suitable and practical solution and achieve team buy-ins before implementation, as necessary
- Help tech leads and managers institute developed build and packaging solutions with minimal change or impact.
