Direct Client Requirement - Data Engineer

Role: Data Engineer,

Location: Chicago, IL,

Experience: 8+ Years,

Rate: $60 Hourly 1099 Or C2C

Duration: 1 Year,

 

Only GC, USC. No OPT and H1B.

 

Job Overview: 

This is a data migration project. The Data Engineer will be required to design databases and model/modernize data to be able to stream the data to AWS.

Requirements:

·  Experience with modernizing data integration by streaming data to the cloud, e.g. S3, object buckets

·  Database design experience

·  Data modeling, e.g. OLAP, Star Schema

·  Experience in migrations from on-prem to the cloud

·  Cloud experience – preferably AWS

·  Talend (ETL) tool

·  Snowflake (Database)

·  Scripting: Python, Javascript

·  Jira

·  Healthcare vertical or provider/payor/pharma industry experience required.

 

 

Your key to this role is the MUST-HAVES.

MUST HAVE Talend and Snowflake exp!!

data migration project.

Currently the data resides in Netezza and will need to move to Snowflake. The tool used to move the data is Talend.

Some of the tables in Netezza need redesigned before they can go into Snowflake.

Right now the data is in batch. There will be database design and modelling and modernizing data to be able to stream the data to AWS.
