Position: Cosmos Data Engineer.
Location: Bentonville, AR
Duration: 6+ Months
Client: Walmart
Rate: $55/hr on C2C (AI)
MUST SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science and 6 years' SQL/Cosmos DBA experience OR Master of Science and 5 years' SQL/Cosmos DBA experience OR PhD and 2 years' SQL/Cosmos DBA experience.
•Must be an experienced DBA who has worked on SQL Server 2008,2012 and 2014
•High level comfort in performing white boarding sessions with the team
•Proficient in designing /implementing/administering large SQL DBs
•Must understand the SQL Server architecture at an expert level
•Experience designing and migrating complicated SQL database
•Experience designing and implementing databases tables, views, stored procedure, triggers and functions
•Experience using software tools to perform database performance optimization and tuning
Tech (Qualification) Notes:
This is not a DBA role; our Cosmos customers own their data. We're looking for candidates that have engineering experience with Cosmos as a service/platform – migrating accounts (not data), providing guidance and assistance for our app teams across the multiple APIs (core, Mongo, Cassandra, etc), scripting automation, troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues, and so forth.

•Experience in performing DB cloud migrations
•Drives system design processes and solution development
•Drives the development and implementation of systems engineering improvements
•Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
•Ensures business needs are being met 24/7/365
•Leads agile teams for large, complex projects for related systems engineering solutions
•Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
•Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
