Title: LIMS Applications Support & Administration/Consultant. 
Duration: 6 Months+  
Location: Princeton, NJ 
 
  • Supports the administration of computerized laboratory systems in the US, working within an infrastructure team / EA Architects etc. that supports this role. 
  • Manages and completes tasks individually while working with and sharing knowledge as part of the Scientific Applications Support Team. 
  • Implements, monitors and provides technical support of laboratory systems in GxP Regulated and Non-Regulated lab areas. 
  
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  
  • Administration and support of LIMS applications, including standalone computerized laboratory systems. 
  • Link bench-level lab system usage/operation with a corresponding enterprise lab system i.e. HPLC, Empower Deliver support for GxP systems, installing new releases and patches (hot fixes), and performing upgrades. 
  • Perform routine backup operations, ensuring all required data files are successfully backed up to the appropriate media. 
  • Repair and recover from hardware and software failures and employ effective project management managing stakeholders both on user side and vendor side, ensure to facilitate the right SME's. 
  • Prepare, review and update software/hardware qualification documents, change control, guidelines and SOPs. 
  • Provide technical support to business groups through the use of troubleshooting procedures and testing. 
  • Administration, support and maintenance of Laboratory computer systems adhering to service levels. 
  • Ensure all computerized systems remain in compliance post-production. 
  • Troubleshooting client instrument workstation and information technology issues. 
  • Provides feedback and suggestions to the client for future improvements. 
  • Regulatory Responsibilities; Ensure all computerized systems remain in compliance post-production. 
  
REQUIRED SKILLS: 
  
  • Proven track record of customer service, follow through, identifying issues, exploring resolutions, and implementing solutions that are timely, customer focused and in compliance with GMP and IT standards. 
  • Knowledge of GMP, GXP, GAMP, SDLC regulations, and good documentation practices. 
  • Advanced knowledge of LIMS (laboratory systems and equipment that support Biologics and clinical manufacturing). 
  • Ability to develop, and motivate others. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong multitasking ability in conjunction with proven organizational skills.
    Ability to organize assigned tasks in a high paced environment and concurrently monitor tasks/assignments with others that may impact timely completion. 
  • Highly proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with some knowledge in Database systems. 
  • Innate ability to learn new software, which includes: Corporate Intranet and Enterprise business. 
  • Ability to create and analyze meaningful metrics. 
  
  
HIGHLY DESIRED, BUT CAN TRAIN SDMS: 
  
  • Experience in working on processes and connected SOPs, work instructions, incidence tickets, R&U and working with users/superusers on IT related issues and ensuring lab data is stored, searchable, retrievable. Create users, Create projects, Restore data, First line issue support, Work with SDMS team overseas, Create/modify templates, Log file monitoring 
 
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: 
  
  • This is an operational resource with experience in LIMS APPLICATION Support Experience AND SDMS (Scientific Data Management System) (from Waters, fyi) experience is a Plus. 
 
  • Today the Client has 3 people supporting SDMS overseas. 
  • A project is ongoing with implementing SDMS in the US. SDMS is a file archival system, which archived Laboratory data. In the Netherlands we have a large laboratory (+120 instruments) and US we are starting up with 8 instruments in the newly created lab.                                                                                                                                                      
  • In addition, the Consultant should take on further tasks with LabVantage LIMS (going live End of April) and LMS (from Waters). These are just some of the Application, but there could be more to come. 
  • Work Remotely, until the ok is given to work Onsite in Princeton, NJ. It is important that the Consultant could easily be Onsite with the User Community as often as the Users need.
