Role: Data Governance Analyst
Interview: Zoom
Location: Currently remote, but Post Covid will need to relocate to Clearwater, FL and work on site. 
 
 
Looking for candidates with Data Governance and Master Data Management experience. Must have experience implementing MDM ( Master Data Management ) initiatives. Must have experience with CREATING and DEFINING data governance POLICIES.

Will be also identifying process and data quality gaps and coming up with recommendations. Prior experience with DG Tools like Colligra, oval edge, or any other tools would be good.
I AM NOT LOOKING FOR someone who has only followed policies laid out by a Data Governance Committee. 

Streamline processes, develop a business centric view of data management: use case requirements for data, data quality management, business data glossary management leveraging tools and technology to develop a new firm wide access point for key business terms. Gather and analyze large data sets working with business stakeholders to define data quality rules and measures. Contribute ideas and explore new technology while gaining excellent insights into our business that form a strong foundation for future success of PODS.
 

1. Work with lines of business to identify and solve data integrity and quality issues, recommend data quality improvement opportunities, and establish metrics for tracking performance of critical data elements
2. Assist with policies, procedures and standards for information management throughout its lifecycle
3. Continuously improve and automate data management workflows
4. Recommend deployment of tools to monitor and control data quality to business data owners and determine the level of business impact for data quality issues
5. Facilitate and arbitrate data issue resolution and conflicts across business stakeholders (e.g., definitions, data requirements, quality standards)
6. Design and recommend data quality issue remediation and escalation processes
7. Provide data management and governance guidance and best practices in new, changing and complex technology environments: cloud and on premise
8. Assist lines of business with interpreting data and creating reports
9. Establish and maintain automated data quality monitoring systems and report on their performance
10. Provide metadata reports for management, such as data quality scorecards and exception reports
11. Work with IT Data management team to establish, monitor and maintain data processes and provide support for enterprise data warehouse and reporting platforms
12. Leverage third party data analysis solutions and vendors to enhance data reporting, validation and quality processes. Explore innovative tools and technology, evaluate new systems and keep up to speed with industry
13.  Analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
14. Monitor and maintain the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
15. Help set / inform standards and compliance for Data Security and Privacy

Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field; Mathematics, Science or Engineering
2. 5+ years of data governance and MDM implementation experience
3. Ability or previous experience working in Agile environments
4. Strong knowledge and working experience of data governance concepts and frameworks
5. Experience using data in diverse ways to effectively optimize business processes
6. Previous experience with cloud platforms and cloud service providers (e.g., AWS,Azure) and cloud solutions/services
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for multiple levels of management
8. Ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with business partners and effectively communicate with both business and technology data stakeholders
9. Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
10. Data Governance Tools: Collibra, Oval Edge, IO-Tahoe etc
11. Strong knowledge of MS SQL

1. Experience with data/reporting tools like - PowerBI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel ,Alteryx, Python experience preferred
