Memphis, TN
Remote initially but will be onsite when safe

Candidate expectations
1. System Architectural knowledge and skills
a. Responsible for the architectural decomposition of business and technical solutions including the definition of applications, subsystems, components, frameworks, and APIs
b. Lead by example and demonstrate understanding of the Renewal Technical Tenets and help others implement the tenets
c. Oversee the development of cross-functional, multi-platform applications systems
d. Ensure solutions align to enterprise architecture standards
e. Identify strategic and tactical solutions and ability to influence and negotiate with colleagues and stakeholders
f. Effectively work across geographically disperse locations and be comfortable in a 'remote' work environment
g. Provide technical guidance and execute on Architectural patterns in collaboration with other senior and Enterprise Architects to application development teams
h. Work under the guidance of other senior Architects as well as mentor and cross train others
2. Project management, Business Analysis, Scrum/Agile/SAFe
a.
b. Project management, system analysis and design experience
c. Must be an effective oral and written communicator, skilled in negotiations and customer-service oriented
d. Proven project leadership and solid track record of prior enterprise projects
e. Embraces a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate
f. Strong problem solving and active listening skills
g. Experience presenting to non-technical and technical executive audiences
3. Technical
a. Familiar with Java, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Angular, Spring Framework, CI/CD, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle database, UNIX / Linux technologies
b. Knowledge of Transportation, Airline and/or Postal industry
c. Prior experience with defining and implementing information architecture, principles, and standards
d. Working experience in Service Oriented Architecture and MicroServices
e. Experience in building interfaces between heterogeneous systems
f. Working knowledge and experience developing large scale enterprise systems
4. Knowledge considered a plus but not required
a. Moving from C++, Solaris to Java, Linux/ VM Cloud. Basic knowledge of C++, Solaris a plus
b. Version One, Agile Management Tool
c. Technology stack
i. JAVA/J2EE - Primary programming languages to develop critical software modules supporting flight and truck network creation and planning
ii. Hibernate[Framework] – provide a persistence layer for saving and retrieving application specific data from and to databases
iii. Spring[Framework] – work in cohesion with Java and JavaScript to implement web components
iv. JUnit [Framework] – compliance and unit testing
v. Jest [Framework] – unit testing framework for Angular applications
vi. Angular 7+ – building client applications
vii. JAVASCRIPT - primary programming language to develop interactive web components supporting user interface
viii. HTML – develop web page layouts for the Pegasus application
ix. JQuery[JavaScript Library] – facilitates the use of JavaScript
x. Eclipse – IDE for development purposes
xi. WebLogic server – locally hosting application/web services
xii. Pivotal Cloud Foundry – hosting application / web services in Cloud environment
xiii. Oracle database/SQL Server – storing data and debugging
xiv. Maven – dependency management between project software modules
xv. GIT/SVN - distributed version control system
xvi. Jenkins - server based system supporting building, deploying and continuous integration
xvii. Maven – build automation tool managing components and dependencies
xviii. Shell scripting - creating C shell scripts
xix. SOAP UI - test service requests
xx. App Sync/ Snap VX – Data recovery, snapshot, creation, copy
xxi. Splunk – captures, indexes, and correlates machine data for application management, security and compliance
xxii. AppDynamics – provides application performance management and IT operations monitoring
